Has Vh1 Pissed Off The Wrong Man Band?

We hate to be the one to rain on the Great Idea Parade celebrating our network's brilliant TV programming achievement of rounding up a bunch of aging boy band dudes from the 90's and tricking them into letting us film their hilarious failed attempts at reviving their hopeless careers, then publicly humiliate them by broadcasting it as a show called Mission: Man Band, but according to a missive that just arrived in the BWE Mailbag, there's already a group of guys calling themselves The Man Band, and they are none too pleased about having their name stolen by Vh1, no matter how funny it is to see that guy from Color Me Badd eat away his pain. The message, in it's entirety:

I am in a band call 'The Man Band' , VH1 stole our name. They've put out a show out called 'Mission: Man Band.' Look it up on the internets, you'll find it.

We're getting a lot of man fans sending emails and letters from prison expressing outrage. Some of that outrage is directed at this new, fake man band - some of it is just general outrage (we have an angry manbase.) Regardless, we want to let you know that we will fight this with the vigilance and tenacity of Forest Whitaker. Godspeed.

Viacom might be a pretty powerful corporate entity and all, but trust me, we should NOT be messing with anyone who possesses the vigilance and tenacity of Forest Whitaker. No matter how disappointing it might be for the world, I say we just cancel the show altogether and hope that Cisco Adler can deliver ratings as big as his balls, because messing with these guys from The Man Band is just a deathwish. I mean, they're even on the dreaded YouTubes!
