'American Idol' Upset

If you missed last night's American Idol elimination, this little video nicely sums up the hour-long episode in a mere five minutes. Amazing how that works out — it's almost as if the majority of last night's show was a waste of time. If you don't want to know the result, don't press play and don't keep reading.

So Carly Smithson went home, and no tears were shed on my part. She seemed like a nice enough girl, but it was obvious the producers (and Randy Jackson) were much more into her than America was. Plus, her elimination meant another week of safety for our boy Jason Castro. Dreads had a rough performance, but he's getting closer and closer to the top three. (After that I have little hope, as the David Arculeta machine and David Cook phenomenon will surely take over the finals.)

On another note: Why can't Syesha die? She's like an effing cat, and I'm growing more weary of her 'look at me I'm so cute' personality by the day. Hopefully next week will be the end of her road, and in the meantime, I'm hoping Brooke works on memorizing her lyrics.
