Surprising no one, Ellen DeGeneres took home her fourth Emmy for Outstanding Talk Show Host last night at the 35th Annual Emmy Awards. She beat out Regis & Kelly and Barbara Walters' crew. As long as Elisabeth Hasselbeck went home empty-handed, we're good.
"I never take this for granted...Every single year, I know people joke about it...It's not what we do it for but it feels so good," DeGeneres said. She had kind of a nutty year, what with working during the writer's strike and that whole weird crying over the dog thing.
Tyra Banks won her first Emmy in a new category, Outstanding Informative Talk Show Host. So, hosts that will burn their bras and tell you to kiss their fat ass? Actually, yes! Read her acceptance speech:
"I just have a message for everybody out there: When you have a dream, there are going to be so many people out there who tell you cannot do it, that you are not good enough. And I want you to tell them to kiss your dimply, flat, juicy, bootylicious, skinny, jiggly, saggy, fat ass!"
Oh Ty Ty.
In the soaps category, General Hospital (yay!) took the Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series, One Life To Live won for Outstanding Writing, and Anthony Geary took Outstanding Lead Actor for his portrayal ...
