Pete Doherty refutes burglary reports

Pete Doherty has dismissed reports his home in the English countryside has been raided by thieves, insisting the claims are false.

The troubled star - himself a previously convicted burglar - was allegedly left devastated after his Wiltshire, England house was ransacked last weekend while Doherty was on tour in Madrid, Spain with his Babyshambles bandmates.

British tabloids reported that among the items stolen were a $2,000 guitar and three paintings Doherty had created with his own blood.

But the singer has blasted the allegations, branding the story 'erroneously reported'.
