Hollywood Legend Invades Unsuspecting Morning Show Audience

Today, ladies and gentlemen, I lived a dream. When a producer asked me if I'd be interested in doing a post Presidential Debate Wrap-Up for Fox's Mike and Juliet Show, I said I would love to! I then proceeded to get yet another botched up haircut in anticipation, where 'take 3 inches off' was loosely translated into 'Gimme the Posh Bob'. (My bad haircut streak lives on!)

Little did I know that this very morning (on less than three hours sleep, no less) I would meet one of my all-time idols. No, not ex-American Idol Antonella Barba (who, to be fair, was very personable).

Well…. rather than spoil it… check out this video clip of me getting scolded by a TELEVISION LEGEND.





Yes. I met Ed McMahon. While I'm not one to approach celebrities, I knew my parents would never forgive me if I failed to shower him in Collins family adoration. So, right before the segment began, I politely mosied on over — as I do — to shake the very same hand that has handed out so many gigantic cardboard checks.

Ed was a dreamboat. And God bless him, for 85, he looked great. Sure, I didn't really expect the tongue-lashing delivered above… but what can I say? That's Ed for ya! (You can see his entire segment here.)

(And no need to thank me for not posting my killer Robin Hood: Men In Tights reference, which nobody including myself really got.)
