The Most Whistle-riffic Tweetastic Songs That Use Ref Whistles

Music is a an everchanging art form that grows and evolves with new styles and techniques, new artists and sounds. Remember the keytar? They didn't have that instrument of the angels 100 years ago. The beatbox? An instrument of the mouth that really blew up in the 80's. But what I like are the instruments that aren't instruments at all - until some genius decides, 'Hey, that'd sound bangin' in a song! Let's use it! High fives!' Enter the Ref whistle. Once used only for sporting events, by traffic cops, and gym teachers, the Ref whistle has become an exclamation point in music to say, 'Hey,I just blew that Ref whistle and you know what that means…let's get this party goin'!' But honestly, when I hear this many Ref whistles, I wish I too had crazy spiked hair, big eyes, and could fly through the air doing a jump kick with all the world behind me blurred out with 'fast' lines, just like an anime character.

In my opinion this is one of the greatest videos of all time. Gn'R were exploding all over the place, filling out stadiums of matted haired rock dudes and acid washed jeaned, poofy banged rock ladies, and Axl decides to keep the party rockin' with a white leather jacket with tassles. The song is soulful and celebratory (who wouldn't wanna go to a city with green grass and pretty girls?? I wanna go! I love grass and pleasing human beauty!!) and just when you think you're going fall into a peaceful trance of guitar chords and steady drums, Axl kicks it into high gear. How do you know it's in about to get real? HE BLOWS THAT REF WHISTLE AND THROWS HIS SHADES OFF!! BOOM!! Take that EVERY OTHER ROCK BAND AT THE TIME!! Inventory list for Paradise City: 1. Green grass? How could your forget that the Latin music world loves Ref whistles? I mean, if anyone knows how to get the party goin', it's the Latin lover Ricky Martin. I heard a rumor that Ricky's alarm clock is a loud Ref whistle and when he gets up in the morning it energizes him. He shakes all the way to the shower. It's like his coffee. It's true.
