Yes, it's almost time for Hollywood's hottest night: The Academy Awards.

There's really nothing more talked about than the fashion and we decided to pick out the seven best dresses ever to grace the Academy.

Coming in at number seven is Charlize Theron.  To go along with her spray tan, she glowed on the red carpet in 2004 in a slim-fitting, shoulder baring platinum Gucci gown.  She also took home best actress that night for her role in Monster.

In at number six is Beyonce Knowles.  She showed off her killer curves in this black vintage Versace number at the 2005 ceremony.

Also wowing us on the red carpet that same year was Hillary Swank.  She grabs the number five spot in this knockout dare to bare dark navy Guy Laroche gown.  She also took home the gold that year for her performance in Million Dollar Baby.

Coming in at number four is Cate Blanchett.  She dazzled us in 2007  in this gunmetal grey, shoulder baring Armani Prive number.

At number three Kate Winslet followed the shoulder baring trend that same year in this light green Valentino number.

Inching her way into the number two spot is none other than Halle Berry.  She looked radiant in 2005 in this sleek, body hugging Versace gown.

And the number one best dressed award goes to Penelope Cruz.  She looked every bit the Spanish glamour queen at the 2007 show in this Versace number.  The shimmery nude color and corset top with the long flowing train is everything an Oscar gown should be.

When all eyes are upon you on Oscar night, it really is what you wear that leaves tongues wagging the day after.
