Britney Spears' former manager, Sam Lutfi, has filed an appeal after being ordered to stay away from the singer for three years. See photos of stars in court. Lutfi, 34, notified an L.A. court Wednesday that he intended to fight the ruling that Spears' restraining order against him was to be made permanent, Usmagazine.com confirmed. Superior Court Judge Aviva Bobb ordered Lutfi to stay away from the pop star and to not contact her for the next three years. The judge issued her ruling after hearing testimony and arguments from the men and lawyers for Spears' father, Jamie. Although Jamie Spears alleged that he -- and attorney Jon Eardley -- had tried to undermine a court-ordered conservatorship that granted him control over her personal and financial affairs, Lutfi's attorney contended that he had never threatened the safety of Spears, 27, and the petition didn't meet the standards for issuing a restraining order. Look back at Britney's crazier times. According to TMZ, Lutfi's lawyer, Byran Freedman, said that "the evidence showed it was Britney Spears reaching out to Mr. Lutfi and all he did was help her get a lawyer."
