Madonna Sticky and Sweet' Set Collapses: Kills 1!

Madonna released a statement Thursday saying she is devastated' to learn that part of her set for her "Sticky and Sweet" tour collapsed and killed 1 person and injured 6 others.

I am devastated to have just received this tragic news. My prayers go out to those who were injured and their families along with my deepest sympathy to all those affected by this heartbreaking news,' the pop star said in a statement.

A portion of the set collapsed during preparations for her next concert at the Stade Velodrome in Nice, France. The accident occurred during construction of the stage when the roof accidentally fell in. Police have closed down the stadium as they try to rescue those trapped under the set. No other details on the accident were available.
