Brad Pitt Says No To Running For Mayor

Brad Pitt, a New Orleans homeowner, has ruled out running for mayor amid growing speculation and local support. Pitt has put major dollars and effort into rebuilding the ninth ward of the city that was ravaged by Hurricane Katrina almost four years ago. In fact, Pitt does not meet the candidacy requirement of at least five years' residency in the city. Pitt and Angelina Jolie bought their house after August 2005. Pitt started the Make It Right Foundation, which has a goal of building 150 storm-resistant, energy-efficient houses. "It's going to be the greenest neighborhood in the United States," he said. "I want to see this through. It means something to me."
