The 2009 Emmy Award Winners, Neil Patrick Harris Kills It

When Jimmy Fallon falling is a highlight of an awards show...you know there's something lacking. Airing just a week after Lady Gaga committed faux suicide and Kanye West committed career suicide at the VMAs, the Emmy's seemed sadly tame. Everyone wore satin (shocker), 30 Rock won a bunch, and someone commented on the weight of their new Emmy. Amidst the schmoozing awards usuals, people were pleasantly surprised by host Neil Patrick Harris, the charismatic star of How I Met Your Mother. Whether he was actually hilarious or just exponentially more hilarious than other hosts is up for debate. Survivor host Jeff Probst even commented, "Neil Patrick Harris...this is how you host the Emmys." We love you, Barney Stinson.
