Anthony Hopkins Thunderstruck by 'Thor'

Great Odin's raven! Anthony Hopkins is ready to rumble with a Marvel Comics superhero on the big screen.

Hopkins will assume the role of King Odin, the father of hammer-wielding thunder god Thor (Chris Hemsworth), says Variety. The film co-stars Natalie Portman as Thor's lady love and is directed by Kenneth Branagh.

The movie is expected to charge into theaters in 2011.
