Ryan Seacrest and Ellen DeGeneres take on Cowell's rudeness and Pattison's coolness

"Prince of All Media" Ryan Seacrest and quite possibly the busiest man in Hollywood gave some pointers to incoming "American Idol" judge Ellen DeGeneres.

He sat down on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" and boy is the "Idol" host super stoked to have his pal Ellen join the FOX juggernaut.

"Everyone keeps asking me about what it's going to be like with the two of you on the show," he said, referring to the talk show host and Simon Cowell.

DeGeneres admitted he's opinionated and she's opinionated (which should make for some good television), but she thinks he is too mean.

"He's right a lot of the time, but if he's rude, I'll tell him he's rude," DeGeneres said.

It looked like Seacrest breathed a sigh of relief with that comment. We know the audience applauded like crazy.

Of course their lively chat turned to pop phenom film "Twilight," specifically Robert Pattinson. Apparently, Seacrest is obsessed with the bloke. Having read the book, but not seen the movie, he said he wanted to memorize all the cool lines in the Stephenie Meyer novel.

"So I could spit them out at the right times," said Seacrest. "Every woman hopes to fall in love with a guy like that and secretly every guy hopes to be that cool. It's really about romance at the end of the day."

DVR alert: 'New Moon's' Dakota Fanning will make an appearance the Nov. 16 episode of "Ellen" followed by Patz on Nov. 20 the day 'New Moon' hits theaters.
