TV Ratings and CBS are partners in crime Wednesday

Fast National ratings for Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009

A week after the CMA Awards aired on ABC, CBS once again asserted its dominance Wednesday night in the ratings and demo contest.

Crime paid for the eye network, with 11.5 million viewers and a 7.3 rating and 12 share in households. ABC followed with 7.3 million viewers and a 4.6/8, followed by NBC (7 million, 4.7/8), FOX (6.5 million, 3.9/6) and The CW (2.7 million, 1.8/3).

Among adults 18-49, CBS once again led with a 3.1 rating, ahead of FOX's 2.7 and ABC's 2.6. NBC had a 2.0, while The CW trailed with a 1.3, although it won in the 8 p.m. hour with women 18-34 with a 3.2 for its "America's Next Top Model" cycle 13 finale.

Wednesday's hourly numbers:

8 p.m.

NBC: "Mercy" (7.8 million, 5.1/8)
CBS: "Old Christine" (7.5 million, 4.7/8)/"Gary Unmarried" (7.2 million, 4.5/7)
ABC: "Modern Family" rerun (6.2 million, 3.9/6), "The Middle" (7.1 million, 4.2/7)
FOX: "So You Think You Can Dance" results show (5.7 million viewers, 3.5/6 households)
The CW: "America's Next Top Model" finale (3.6 million, 2.4/4)

18-49 leader: CBS comedies (2.4)

9 p.m.

CBS: "Criminal Minds" (13.5 million, 8.5/13)
ABC: "Modern Family" (9.2 million, 5.4/8), "Cougar Town" (7.9 million, 4.9/8)
NBC: "Law & Order: SVU" (8.4 million, 5.7/9)
FOX: "Glee" (7.3 million, 4.3/7)
The CW: "America's Next Top Model: Revealed" special (1.8 million, 1.2/2)

18-49 leader: "Criminal Minds" (3.7)

10 p.m.

CBS: "CSI: NY" (13.7 million, 8.7/15)
ABC: "In the Spotlight With Robin Roberts" Janet Jackson interview (6.7 million, 4.6/8)
NBC: "The Jay Leno Show" (4.8 million, 3.3/6)

18-49 leader: "CSI: NY" (3.2)
