A: Try clearing your browser cache.
-If that doesn't work try resetting your password.

Your profile will display your avatar and all your Fafarazzi choices. All the Games you're invovled in as well as friends, activity, and community.

Editing your profile
Q: Are we able to change our user name or email address?
A: You can change your username and email in the "edit profile" page now.

Q: I'm trying to change my icon on my profile and it doesn't seem to be working.
A: Your browser is just caching the old image. Hold SHIFT and hit the refresh button on your browser. You will then see the new icon.
My Friends:
A page to display all of your friends on Fafarazzi.

Edit Profile:
Edit everything about yourself. Change your avatar icon or edit your about me text. To do so click the browse icon, choose a file from your computer, click OK. Make sure to click SAVE CHANGES at the bottom for the change to take place. To customize your profile backgrounds and colors click the Modify button to select the colors of your choice. Make sure to click SAVE CHANGES for changes to take place. To select your Favorites go through the check list of Celebs, TV shows and Gossip Blogs to choose which are your favorites. These favorites will show up on the Fans pages of the TV shows and Celeb pages. Plus adding your Favorites will give you better news stories on your MyHome page! Also feel free to add some freeform text into the boxes for your favorite shows, movies and music. Make sure to Save all changes!

Edit Settings:
Manage your Notifications, Daily Recaps, Newsletters. Click the check boxes next to the nofications you want and press the SAVE ALL CHANGES button.

Edit Account:
Use the Edit Account tab to change your email address that Fafarazzi uses to correspond with you. Also change your password if neccessary. You can also delete your Fafarazzi account through the Edit Account tab at the bottom. Check the box that says Delete my Account and Click the DELETE ACCOUNT buttom.

Fafa Mail:
Keep track of messages from Fafarazzi and other Fafa users. All messages sent to you, messages you've sent plus keep track of Friend Requests from other users. Compose new messages to other users, too.

Manage Friends:
Keep track of all your friends. Delete the ones you don't know or want. Use the check box to indicate which friends you want to see in your friend feed.

Friend Feeds:
Think Facebook News feed. Keep track of what all your friends are doing. See who is joining leagues, made a new TV game and their overall activity on Fafarazzi.

News
Find the days top news stories about your favorite celebrities. There's Top News, Breaking News, and Top Videos for the day.

Celeb Directory:
Find any celebrity and all the news relating to them. Top Celebs which shows you which celebrities earn the most points on Fafarazzi.Hot Celebs tab will show you which celebs have been swapped into a team for a Fantasy Celebrity League. Most Loved tab will show you the celebrities who have the most fans. You can choose which celebrities you are a Fan of by changing it in your Profile. New Celebs tab will show the most recently added celebrities to the Fafarazzi site.

TV Show Directory:
Hot Shows tab will show you all the TV Shows with the most articles about them. Click through to find the most recent stories! Most Loved tab displays the TV Shows most loved by the Fafarazzi community and which has the most Fans. You can choose which TV Shows you are a Fan of by changing it in your Profile.

Blog Directory:
It will show you every Celeb Blog Fafarazzi uses for scoring. Hot Blogs tab will show you the Blogs with the most generated posts. Click through a blog to find all relevant posts from them. Most Loved tab displays the Blogs most loved by the Fafarazzi community and which has the most Fans. You can choose which Blogs you are a Fan of by changing it in your Profile.

Fantasy Celebrity Leagues
How to Start:
Start by creating a new league or by joining an already existing one. You may join more than one!

Start a new league and invite your friends to join! Or join an already existing game to play against other Fafarazzi users. A League is a group of celebrity teams that play against each other. Each celebrity team is managed by a user, like you or your friends. Each team will have 10 celebrities on it.

FAQ:
What is a Private league:
You can only join a private league by being invited by someone in the league OR requesting permission to join from the commissioner. If you create a private league you will get to set the passcode and do the inviting.

What is a Public league:
Anyone can join a public league without needing an invite or a passcode. You may join as many leagues as you want.


Preseason Walkthru:
The league has just been created and is still awaiting more users to join. During this time each user that has joined will set up their draft pool in preparation for the draft. You may choose as many or as little celebrities as you wish for your draft pool. Pick the celebs you think will earn the most points by getting publicity. Focus on big stars as well as up and comers, and even celebs who might have something coming up in the next few weeks during your season, like a big movie premiere, a wedding or a baby -- all big point getters. The more publicity your celebs get, the more points you earn and the easier to beat your friends becomes! Once you're finished with your draft order you may also edit your team name to anything you wish. Once you have this all set up feel free to talk trash in the Discuss section of your league. The league commissioner (you if you created the league) can extend the Pre-Season as needed to wait for more people to join, or to allow people more time to set their draft pools. This is all found in the Admin section of your league. You will also find scoring options as in which blogs to score from. An option of blocking certain celebrities and sending out addtional invites to other users.


FAQ:
How do I Draft?
You pick out a bunch of celebs you like and rank them in order of preference. This is the order that the auto-draft will grab them for your team.

What if I want to do a live draft?
There are 2 ways to go about drafting with your friends.

Offline Draft
The Offline Draft option is perfect for groups that want to hold a draft party. It allows you to get together (in person, or virtually) and hold your own draft. The league's commissioner will have access to the necessary print outs and forms to get things rolling. After the draft the commissioner enters in the results and your season starts.

Auto Draft
Each team manager within a league will set their draft pool in the pre-season. The draft occurs automatically right before the season starts. It picks a random order and uses each team's draft pool to determine who to put on their team. The draft will give the team the highest ranking celebrity who has not already been chosen...and then go to the next team.

The draft order reverses itself after each round, to stay fair.
For example...

Round 1 Team A Team B Team C Team D

Round 2 Team D Team C Team B Team A

Round 3... Team A Team B Team C Team D

And so on through the 10th Round... After each team has 10 celebrities, the draft is over and you will be notified that the season has started!

Q: Where can I see the results of my leagues draft? i.e. the order of celebrities that were picked to each persons team.
A: Check for a link that says "Draft Recap" on the league overview page

What is a Team?
You can swap celebrities in and out during the season, as long as they are not already on another team in your league. You will only get points for things your celebs do while on your team, not for anything they've done before you got them.

Can I choose my blog sources?
After you joining a league you (and others) can decide which sources you want to use for scoring. (full list) League commissioner has full ability to change which sources will be used - only during the preseason can the sources be changed.

Is there a point limit?
You can also help set a per day maximum point cap. The cap is applied to each celebrity, each day. For instance - if your max cap is set at 8 points and Paris Hilton gets posted about 13 times -- she will only get the first 8 points that day. The next day she is eligible to score again.

The max point cap helps curb celebrities who are constantly in the news and helps even the playing field. We recommend you set your max cap at 80% of the number of sources you are using. For example, a league using 10 scoring sources should set the cap at 8 points. This can also be changed by the commissioner during the preseason.

What are the League roles?

Comissioner
This is the creator of the league. The commissioner can edit the description, change the season start date (before the season starts), invite new members, upgrade the league, and change the roles of other members. The commissioner will also manage a team of celebrities, just like everyone else in the league. The commsisioner has access to change the draft option, change scoring sources and set the max scoring cap.

Admin
The admin, in private leagues, can also invite other members. Admins will also manage teams of celebrities, just like everyone else in the league.

Manager
A manager simply manages a team of celebrities. Everyone in a league is a manager, some just have more administrative privileges.

In Season Walkthru:
Review your point totals that your celebrities have earned you by checking out the Standings page. From there you will be able to see which Teams are leading your League. Down by a couple points? Go ahead and go to the Discuss page to smack talk the #1 player and tell them your Britney is going to pick up some slack and beat them. Check out your Roster page to see which of your celebrities is slacking. If someone isn't meeting your expectations hit the Swap button to search for other available players that you can choose to swap for another player currently on your team. By going to the Trade section you can also try to trade a celeb on your current roster for a celeb on an opposing teams roster. They may either accept or deny this request, but it doesn't hurt trying!

Adding Celebs To Your Team (Swap)
After your season has started you can add and drop celebs from your team as long as another team in your league does not already have that celeb. Just look for the "Add to my team" button on the celeb's profile. Also, look for the 'add celebs' link when you are logged in to see a list of available celebs within your league.

Can I trade a player?
A trade is a one-for-one celeb switch between two teams. A trade is proposed by a team manager - and can then be approved or denied by the second team manager.

Creating a New league
Q: I already have a league, but the season is almost over and I want to start a new season back up. Is there a way that I can do this with the same league name?
A: You'll need to create a new one. There is a 'Restart League' link on the league overview page once your season is over that the commissioner can use to set up a new league -- and we'll fill in the details for you just like the old one. Name, scoring sources, max cap, and invites. You can edit them as you like or invite new people, too.

Trades/Swaps
Q: I tried to swap out one of my celebs last night but it didn't work.
A: Are you certain the swap was submitted prior to the deadline? Fafarazzi times are stated in Eastern Time.

Q: How do I cancel a trade/swap?
A: Go to the link "my transactions" and you'll see your past and upcoming swaps. There is a link to cancel from there.

Q: Can you do trades with uneven number of celebs?
A: Right now you can only trade one for one.

Scoring
Q: I'd like to recommend a celeb to be added to the Fafa roster.
A: You may put in a request for a celebrity.


Why aren't my celebs being scored?

Full name
Make sure the celeb's full name is being used. Because celebs can share first or last names with other celebs scoring must be based on the full name. Purposely mispelled names and nicknames will not be scored.

Is the blog being used by your league?
Is the blog you saw them posted in being used by your league for scoring? Each league chooses it's scoring sources (blogs) before the season begins.

Delayed - Common / One-word names
Is the celeb in question someone with a common name - like Fergie, Sting, Prince, Seal...and so on? Some celeb's scores are delayed because their name is a common English word or easily confused with another person's name. There are a handful of celebs like this - in this case just wait an hour or so and your score will be posted. All on-hold scores are resolved before the end of the day. Full list of On Hold celebs

Partial RSS Feed
Did you see the celeb's name on the blog's website - but not on Fafarazzi's version of it? Since Fafarazzi uses the blog's RSS feed for scoring, and some blogs only publish partial feeds, you may find that a celeb's name is mentioned on the website but not scored. Each league can choose which scoring sources to use for scoring - so it's your choice on using partial feeds or not. Partial feeds can still be very accurate for scoring.

Timing
Check to make sure that the post is from a day that is in your season. Sometimes you may find a post that is from a day before your season started - which won't count for your points.


Quitting a league
Q: I joined a league but want to leave, how can I do this?
A: Go to the league overview page and look for a link that says "Quit this league" it will be near the bottom right.
Your celebs will be released for other teams in your league to pick up.

Reality TV Fantasy Games

Pick the best characters from your favorite shows, they'll score you points during each episode!

How to Start:
Pick a show you want to play the TV Fantasy game for. You will then be able to choose 3 characters from the TV Show you think will score points for you on your team. Choose wisely and take a look at the How it Works page to see what the scoring items are for that particular TV Show. Make sure to save your team then go explore within the TV Community. You can join a Group for that game to compete against other people or invite your friends to a brand new Group to compete against them.

During the Shows season:
Keep up with your team and be sure to take off characters who may be eliminated or not earning points for you and replacing them with characters who are active. Check the leaderboards to find what place you in and how well your choices are fairing. Go to Your Team page to indicate if you want to get notifications about new episodes and scoring reports send to your email address after the show has aired. There are also widgets to share on your Facebook or Myspace that display the team you've chosen!

FAQ:
Why didn't I get any points?
Are you sure the characters your chose scored in the previous episode? Make sure by checking the past episode score log. Also, make sure you saved your team before the episode was aired.

How come this action or so & so wasn't scored in the episode, I saw it?
Sometimes scoring a TV show can draw many questions, is a cry really a cry, how is that a verbal fight, etc? We take into consideration a number of offical TV Scorer opinions and use our best judgement whether or not it was a real point.

I want to compete against my friends
Start a Group and invite your friends by their email addresses. Whether it's an office pool, or a group of friends competing against one another you'll have your own leaderboards and discussion boards to talk about the show and rag on the friends losing.

Duels:
Pick sides! Fafa Duel asks you the tough and/or hilarious questions - and you answer by making your choices. Score as many correct answers as you can in a row to move up the leaderboards!

How to play:
Just click on the image that you think answers the Duel question. Continue until the Duel stops!

Leaderboards:
See the cream of the crop of Fafarazzi on the leaderboards for "Most Trophy Points, Top Commissioners, Top Forum Posters, Most League Mates, Most Celeb Swaps and Most TV Trophy Points.

Groups:

Facebook Connect

What is Facebook Connect?
Facebook Connect is a service provided by Facebook that lets its users log into other websites, such as Fafarazzi, using their Facebook account information.

Why does it benefit me to use Facebook Connect with Fafarazzi?
It provides convenience for you as a user (not having to reregister on another website) and it lets the connecting website (i.e. Fafarazzi) provide opportunities to share actions directly with your Facebook friends, such as when you Create a Fanasy Celebrity League or create a TV Group.

Will you see any information from my Facebook profile?
We do have the ability to pull your Facebook profile data that you've deemed public, however, Fafarazzi only stores your a link to your current profile picture.

How do you use my name and icon?
We will give you a username that is comprised of your first name, last initial, plus a number (we do not store your full name). We will also use your Facebook profile picture as your Fafa icon if you do not have an existing icon. Both your username and icon can be changed right away by going to Edit Profile.

Will other Fafarazzi users be able to see anything from Facebook profile?
No, we don't not show any of your Facebook information to any other users aside from your profile picture which you can change right away as mentioned above.

Will I be able to see which of my Facebook friends are also on Fafarazzi?
Yes, eventually. We'll be implementing this feature in the near future.

How do I unlink my Facebook account?
As a new user to Fafarazzi, if you joined us through Facebook Connect, you would essentially be deleting your whole account with us. To complete this, you would go to the Edit Profile -> Edit Account and then fill out the Delete User Account form at the bottom.

An existing Fafarazzi user can go to Edit Profile -> Edit Account and click the Unlink my Facebook Connect account link.

New User to Fafarazzi who just used Facebook Connect to register/login

Do I have to give my email address and password to the site?
You don't have to, but it's recommended that you do. This way, if you ever choose to unlink your Facebook account, it won't affect your Fafarazzi account, it just deletes the Facebook connection. In addition, you will have the option to login to Fafarazzi with either your email address and password, or your Facebook account.

What is the setting asking for permission to email me when I first connect to Fafarazzi?
Facebook provides an email address that is unique to your Fafarazzi-Facebook connection. So we are the only site that knows of this email address, and you can turn it off at any time. We recommend enabling this so that you can get the notifications for your TV games and Fantasy Celebrity Leagues you may be in.

If I use Facebook Connect, will I be able to receive Fafarazzi communications and notifications?
Yes, enable the Permission to Email you setting when you first connect with the site, or go to Edit Profile -> Edit Account, and click the checkbox to give us permission.

How do associate my direct email address with my Fafarazzi account?
Go to Edit Profile -> Edit Account. You will see a form where you can enter an email address and password.

Existing Fafarazzi user who just added Facebook Connect to their account

How do I add Facebook Connect?
Go to the Edit Account page, and click the Connect with Facebook button. You'll be prompted to enter your Facebook login information. You will be linked after you do that successfully.

How do I Verify my Existing Fafarazzi account?
The first time you login with Facebook Connect, you'll see a pop-up where you have the opportunity to Verify your Existing Fafarazzi account so they'll be linked. You should definitely do this if you have an existing Fafa account because if you do things on the site as only a Facebook user, but later want to link your accounts, you will lose the stuff you did as a Facebook only user.

If you did not link your accounts when you initially logged in via Facebook Connect, you can go to Edit Profile -> Edit Account to do this. Please note again that this will erase the actions you've done as a Facebook Connect user, and your existing Fafa account will become the main account.

I tried to Verify my Fafarazzi account, but it keeps telling me that account doesn't exist. What do I do now?
If you've tried the email address and password you normally log into Fafarazzi with and it still doesn't work, shoot us an email to let us know you're having trouble. In case you may have forgotten your password, log out of Fafarazzi and go through the Forgot Password process to get a new password. Then, log into Fafarazzi again using Facebook, go to Edit Profile -> Edit Account, and enter your email address and new password there. You can also update your Fafarazzi password at any time on this same page.

Will it affect my existing Fafarazzi profile at all?
No, the information on your Fafa profile takes precedence, and so nothing will appear changed. However, if you do not have a Fafarazzi icon, then we will use your Facebook profile icon as your Fafarazzi icon. You can still change your icon at any time by uploading a new icon to replace it.

Will other Fafa users be able to find me on Facebook if I use Facebook Connect with your site?
No, your privacy is still upheld.

How do I unlink my Facebook account?
Login to Fafarazzi, Edit Profile -> Edit Account, click the link Unlink my Facebook Account

Sharing Stories to Facebook

What is the pop up asking me if I want to share an action I did to Facebook?
When you do certain actions on Fafarazzi, such as pick a TV team, Facebook will ask if you want to post that to your wall so your friends on Facebook can know about that.

How do I edit the settings dealing with sharing to Facebook?
First go to this page on the Facebook site: http://www.facebook.com/editapps.php?v=feed. Click on the Edit Settings link that is on the same row as the application named Fafarazzi.
