I'll walk 60 miles over the course of three days with thousands of other women and men. The net proceeds will support breast cancer research, education, screening and treatment through Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund.

As most of you know, my mom, Becky Price, battled with breast cancer, and sadly lost her fight nearly 12 years ago. I'm doing this walk in honor of her memory and in hopes that someday another girl somewhere else will not lose her mom the same way.

According to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, approximately 200,000 American women will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year, and nearly 40,000 will die from the disease. That's why I'm walking so far. To do something bold about breast cancer. I hope that you'll share this incredible adventure with me - by supporting me in my fundraising efforts.

Sunny, I donated my hair a few years ago, too. I donated 13 1/2 inches. Hated my short hair afterward, but was planning on doing it again anyway. My hair won't grow past a certain point anymore and I am not sure it would be long enough.

I did this a few years back and now I cannot bring myself to grow my hair long anymore. Not because I dont want to wack it off, but rather, I cannot stomach the hideous of the "inbetween" stage.

I know what you mean! I've had long hair forever so it would feel really messed up if it were short now.
But my hair was real long like down-past-my-ass-length lol So I chopped off 10 inches and still have like 25 inches of it left hehe. So it's all good!
