Ashlee Simpson-Wentz moves into "Melrose Place"

I really hate that they are bringing this show back. It was my fave! But I want to remember it the way it was, with the original cast! Same thing with the new 90210, I could not get into it even though Jennie Garth came back as Kelly. Once they cancel a show, leave it at that, don't bring it back years later with a new cast and try to get people to watch it. They're ruining my memories....LOL!

meh. sometimes the new ones out-do the old ones, so they all kinda have their place. Granted 90201 and Melrose were such defining shows for those years, its nearly impossible to trump them.

but the new 90210 is kinda different. is Melrose supposed to be different too? like everytime i hear about someone maybe being in it it's as this character. and i can't picture ashlee r mischa etc being adults. they are still too young to me. -

Posted March 12th, 2009 by Crackface_McGeeI loved the original Melrose, but I have no recollection of "the original series' blond, budding-Southern-belle starlet, Sandy Harling (Amy Locane)". Who are they talking about?

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz is moving into "Melrose Place," returning to series television seven years after landing her breakthrough role on the WB's "7th Heaven."
In the "Melrose" update, the singer-actress will play a bright-eyed but shrewd small-town girl and recent L.A. transplant who has come to town with a secret.
Her character draws parallels to the original series' blond, budding-Southern-belle starlet, Sandy Harling (Amy Locane).
