Ugliest Ever Madonna Naked Painting Sells

An oil painting depicting Madonna and Guy Ritchie naked has sold for more than £15,000.

The picture by Glasgow artist Peter Howson was sold at an auction in the city to an anonymous buyer, reports the BBC.

The 2005 work had previously failed to sell at auction last month after failing to meet its reserve price.

The painting shows a full-frontal Madge with Guy's hand on her thigh - though she doesn't look particularly happy about it.

The couple divorced last November after being married for eight years.

Artist Howson has had links with popular culture before - a copy of one of his paintings showing a boxer adorns the cover of The Beautiful South's 1998 album Quench.

It's also rumoured that some of his paintings have previously been bought by Mick Jagger and David Bowie - as well as Madonna herself.

Could it be that Her Madgness has bought this one too as a bit of high art for the family album?
