Perez Hilton, the infamous Hollywood gossip blogger, alleges he was assaulted outside a Toronto club following Sunday's MuchMusic Video Awards.
Reports say Toronto police confirmed that Hilton had contacted them about the assault. When contacted by the National Post Toronto Police Constable Tony Vella was unable to confirm the identity of the complainant, but he confirmed that Molina Liborio, a 36-year-old resident of the United States, was arrested and charged with one count of assault following an incident near a downtown nightclub at about 3 a.m. on June 22. Const. Vella was unable to comment further on the details of the assault, as the matter is now before the courts.
Hilton made the charges on Twitter, claiming "I was assaulted by Will.I.Am of the Black Eyed Peas and his security guards. I am bleeding. Please, I need to file a police report. No joke."
Will.I.Am has has denied the charge, also via Twitter, stating "perez hilton is a liar..." and "because it isnt cool for someone to blame you and blast you with lies..."
The Black Eyed Peas singer also posted a full video response, denying the assault.
Const. Vella says 52 Division, which responded to and investigated the assault allegedly involving Mr. Liborio, has no plans to lay further charges, saying the investigation is closed from TPS's standpoint.
Mr. Liborio was released after being charged, he is scheduled to make a court appearance at Old City Hall, August 5, 2009.

In Canada, bar fights are rarely prosecuted. The punch was outside a club on the street, this is a public place and easier to prosecute. Next time punch Perez in the club.
