I would so much rather have the future of america being like Miley rather than Kanye and Katy Perry (I loathe her and her cherry chapstick).

Well she does have legions of little girls looking up to her. So when she parades around in little skimpy outfits and sexes up her videos the majority of people who are paying attention are those miriads of little girl and probably a bunch of sick pedafiles.

Now when your major fanbase consists primarily of those two groups then I think you have to be categorized as a bad influence.

I see a wardrobe malfunction happening in her near future...if it hasn't already happened yet.

I have serious problems with how many parents are alright with the super sexual way their daughters present themselves. You are not your kids bestie- fucking make that ho cover her ass. The hyper sexualization of virtually everything is really to the detriment of kids have a childhood. Her "provocative"/kiddie porn pictures are disgusting and are pretty clearly bordering on misguided youth OR the tell tale sign of a girl who is so desperately in need of attention that can either be easily swayed or somehow thinks that being skanky will garner her favor and love from the opposite sex. In 20 years, I wouldnt be surprised if she pulled a shocking tell-all a la McKenzie Phillips.

I agree Molly. My 5 year old little girl and I had a very difficult time finding her back to school shoes without a 2 inch heel (no joke). She asked me why the people who make shoes wanted her to be a grown up. When a kid figures it out, the problem is there.

Here's the thing - Miley does NOT dress like a ho on Hannah Montana. As a parent, YouTube is blocked in my house (as well as 90% of all webistes) on the little one's computer and she is not allowed near my laptop, and they don't show videos on MTV anymore so she only sees what is on the Disney Channel or Nickelodeon. Her music has clean lyrics, so I have no problem with her. With that being said, when she's old enough to start reading Vanity Fair, unlocking websites, etc. then I'll have to have a talk with her. I'm not going to blame Miley for my parenting or other people's lack-of parenting.

As for the way she dresses, I pick out her clothes - we no longer go to Justice as it is all hoochie wear, so we stick to Old Navy, Gap, Target, etc where you can still get cute wholesome girls clothes. Does she like it? Hell no - she fights me tooth and nail, but I'm the mom so I always win.

You think buying regular clothes is hard? Try finding a decent halloween costume that doesn't look like what the tarts all wear to the clubs. SMH. She's dressed in head to toe skeleton since I couldn't find anything to cover her ass that didn't look like a 2 year old should be wearing it.

With that being said, Molly I'm sure you see a much different picture being a techer to high school aged kids. And I'm sure you have quite a few opinions on "lack-of" parenting.....

Yeah at the store all the young girls Halloweem costumes are turning into sexy witch, or sexy fairy/princess...costumes that look like they are made for adults.

Its a different age that we are living in where kids as young as 11 are having sex on a regular basis. I don't think it is right but with role models like the ones kids have today...they certainly aren't helping the matter and Miley is just another culprit.

The Halloween thing freaked me out. I was honestly a bit taken back and almost considered making a home-made costume (and I can't sew!) or making her get a boy's costume and be a Doctor or something.

I am not a parent yet but if I have a little girl neither my wife or I will be purchasing any of those little hooker costumes for our child. I think there has to be some kind of line or a certain age when girls can start dressing like hoochies and to me it is not start below the age of 16, and even that is going to be a stretch.

I realize that in today's world where kids don't want to be considered losers if they don't conform to society.

And of course Chelsea's mom or Bridgette's mon buy their kids slutty clothes because they don't care how their child looks. Well thanks to those parents because now your 8 year old girl wants to dress like her friends...and the cycle goes on and on.

This is when I am thankful I have rowdy boys. I dont have the clothes battle but I do still have the battle over inappropriate tv/movies/toys. It surprises me how many kindergartners have seen Batman, Transformers (the movie), etc. These are the same kids in his class that still cant write their names...

What happened to children worshipping athletes and Sir Charles bashing on the fact that he isnt a role model?? Basically, parents need to step in a parent...but too many want to be their kids bff. Get over it. I hope my kids hate me during their teenage years cause I know they will love me more in their 20's when they have the stability and a level head to begin careers, etc.

Yeah, I've got 2 girls. 11 & 3. My youngest is Snow White. Easy peasy. My oldest is quite easy though too. The last few years have been homemade outfits because she cares more for the make-up part of it. My best friend is a make-up artist and hooks us up. So this year she's going as a dead ballerina. Cheap outfit, cheap shoes, killer make-up. And 16, 18 or hell even 23. She's not wearing anything hoochie while living under MY roof damnit....

Miley royally screwed herself by trying to play chicken with the Disney Company. She tried countless times to weasel out of her contract with them to start her "solo" career. That whole photo shoot thing, IMO was a big old middle finger at Disney.
