On this episode of Gossip Girl, we finally find out what Serena's big secret is and which character is gay... and these are mutually exclusive revelations. There was a distinct lack of Nate and Chuck in this episode, which was admittedly sad. For the past two weeks, Jenny and Blair have been exchanging fake rumors about each other that Gossip Girl willingly spreads without proof. Bound forever by their love for headbands, the HHags still all hang together on the steps of the Met, although they are clearly split into a Blair camp and a Jenny camp. Note that Nelly Yuki is now part of Blair's Hag Faction despite her obvious lack of headband. Jenny brags to Blair that she and her new boyfriend, Asher, are throwing a party to which Blair is not invited. Then Asher appears and whisks her away and the whole herd of HHags is jealous. G poses as Brooklyn gal Sarah Serena hasn't heard from Georgina in two weeks, but that's because she's been in icky Brooklyn, hanging out at the coffeehouse and posing as Sarah,' the poor, lonely new-girl-in-town who has been adopted by none other than Dan and Vanessa. Sarah' asks to meet Serena, and Dan, who apparently has never had a girlfriend before, thinks this is a great idea. Eric pulls Jenny aside and cautions her that perhaps Asher's not the right guy for her. Jenny assumes he's got a crush on her, which is not surprising, and Eric assures her that he's merely concerned for her well being. Shortly after Serena assures Dan that Asher is a good guy who just likes to stick his tongue down his sister's throat in public, Dan catches Asher on the street kissing what appears to be a tiny gnome. A tiny male gnome, if you will.
