Scotty McNaughty, i wait every week for your Idol previews and guesses. So keep them up. And a movie theme can be ANYTHING. Like Disney movies. There are a ton of songs in them. And any musicals or anything. This is a big topic...

There are tons and tons of songs to choose from movies/musicals, but I choose most of the songs from AFI (American Film Institute) top 100 list of movie songs.

These are just out of the blue guesses, although I have this weird feeling that Kris WILL DO the song Rainbow Connection.

Off the top of my head, some likely suspects for song choices:
Ghost- Unchained Melody
Waynes World- Bohemian Rhapsody
Pretty Woman- Pretty Woman
Body Guard- The Whiny Vagina Song by Crackho Whitnety back when she could sing
Effing Titanic- My heart will.... I will only allow this if it is Anoop and there is a pan flute or a plastic recorder used as an accompanying instrument
The Graduate- Mrs. Robinson
Beaches- Whiny Vagina Song #2
Breakfast Club- Dont you forget about me (Adam maybe? hmmm. I think I like this)
Rocky- Eye of the Tiger (dear God NOOOOO- (maybe my aversion to this song is RockBand induced))
Robing Hood- WhateverthehelltheBrianAdamsSongWasCalled

Probably not realistic, but I would LOVE to see Adam perform something from "Sweeney Todd".

I could stand all of those songs except Eye of the Tiger. I'm with you, dear God NO.

I have a feeling that they are going to have to select songs from a particular approved list as it seems like they might have done when the contestants performed the same theme back in season 3. That's why I went with some songs from AFI's Top 100 list.

I think everything has to come off an approved list. I think they have to pay the rights to the songs. That is why there is a lot of repeat. I think that also influences what we get to see in the auditions.

Dude, I effing was laughing as I was trying to think of highly known theme songs... I like to share my laughing.

The one I totally left off the list, is that hot new track by Aerosmith from that academy award winning movie- Armageddon. I don think that any song in the history of song playing was ever played more than that ditty.

Jason Mraz did an acoustic rendition of Rainbow Connection and I have a feeling that's what Kris will do. Mraz's version was actually decent.
