First of all, WOW. It's Saturday. The show isn't til Wednesday. I won't even look at this again until... Wednesday (okay, probably not, I'll look at this a lot).
I was wondering about Louis Van Amstel last week. They made a big deal at the beginning of the season that he was gonna be on SYTYCD, and he only choreographed on week 1 so I'm like, "What's up with that?"
Kayla and Brandon wold be the best couple this week.
Evan has some dances that are closer to his style this week, but I think he's a little too short for the quickstep.
Can you believe that Melissa/Ade are the only original couple still left?
TabNap have a good routine when they only do 1 a week.
Brandon doing ANOTHER disco? (He did that FastForward one earlier in he comp.) -
Posted July 25th, 2009 by musicman0909WOW - Melissa and Evan get TWO kisses of death. Tyce Diorio Broadway and the quickstep...can anyone say rigged?! haha
If it's not, that's just extremely poor luck. Isn't Melissa one of the taller girls too??
Brandon can certainly pick up Kayla. Remember - "I press girls, not weights." Words to live by...
I'm excited to see Jeanine and Ade perform together. Hopefully, Ade will loosen up a bit more on the Rumba. I can't wait to see NappyTabs back. -

Can Evan LIFT Melissa?
"that's a big bitch" in comparison to height AND muscle -

Yeah I have a feeling Brandon and Kayla will be pretty great. Not sure about the other 2 couples. I shudder to think how Evan and Melissa will do..with Melissa being one of my favorites :( -
Posted July 25th, 2009 by DJCaliboii79I can't wait to see Brandon & Kayla perform together. Talk about a dynamic duo!!!!
Ugh, Evan....he did get the double dose kiss of death. Tyce with Broadway & the Quick step. Maybe this will be what FINALLY sends him home! -
Hopefully Evan will handle his big woman (to kinda quote Ms. Debbie Allen...)
I really like him - and like someone said in another thread - he does remind me of George on Grey's Anatomy! It's that sleepy eyed thing! I think the judges will not pick on him as much this week - they probably know they got him a lot of sympathy votes.
Brandon has an awfully small head compared to Kayla's high forehead - do you think that will make a difference? Should be interesting...
I love the comment about Evan lifting girls not weights!! Thanks!
Picking my team will be tough this week. I think I'll keep it to two people instead of three! -
Posted July 27th, 2009 by dorypuertoricoEvan will do great wt the Brodway routine..that's his style.. and I do like him, he's not my fav, but I do like him...

Posted July 27th, 2009 by lindalou1227Brandon and Kayla do seem to be the pair of the week. Also think Janette and Ade will pull theirs off.
Very worried about Evan and Melissa. Just can't see those two dancing together. (And she's my fav) -
Posted July 27th, 2009 by blondebombshell44Im excited for Ade and Jeanine! Its going to be good.
Its hard to choose because they are all amazing and talented dancers. All of them are extremly well rounded. -
Posted July 27th, 2009 by broadwaystar32I do really like Evan, and hopefully it will be a good broadway routine since that's his style. Melissa might be in trouble though. I think Ade could be going down too. Maybe their Rhumba cheoreography will be as unfortunate as Jeanette's last week and they'll end up eliminated because of it.

Some of the same spoilers Attridge posted but a little extra thrown in.
I'm pretty excited to see more past dances!
NEW COUPLE PAIRINGS
Melissa Sandvig & Evan Kasprzak - Broadway by Tyce DiOrio AND Quickstep by Louis Van Amstel - All signs point to this couple leaving this week (and I haven’t even seen them dance yet!). But if we’re basing the contestants on the strength of their dancing, then these two likeable kids need to shoo shoo! Who knows though, America might keep annoying me and keep Evan around.
Kayla Radomski & Brandon Bryant - Contemporary by Stacy Tookey AND Disco by Doriana Sanchez - Two of the strongest dancers this season and the judges’ favorites. Contemporary and Disco should be a piece of cake for them, and I’m troubled by the fact that I’m excited to see the Disco routine. They’ve been pretty awesome this season.
Jeanine Mason & Ade Obayomi - Hip Hop by Tabitha & Napoleon AND Rumba by Louis Van Amstel - Jeanine & Ade have a lot of potential. Both have gained a lot of (Hot Tamale train) steam the past weeks. They’ll be the couple I’m rooting for, but a Rumba? Bleccccch and *yawn*!
RESULTS SHOW SPOILERS
On Thursday night, we’re in for a treat or two, or six. First of all, the musical guest is the always energetic Sean (da) Paul. THEN, I hope to have my dance socks rocked off by an appearance from MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew Season 1 winners: the JabbaWockeeZ!
But that’s not all! We’ll FINALLY see SYTYCD Season 4’s alumni perform the four Emmy-nominated routines (they should’ve been allowed to last week):
“Mercy” - Contemporary by Mia Michaels - featuring Katee Shean & Twitch
“Adam & Eve” - Contemporary by Tyce Diorio - featuring Jessica King & Will Wingfield
“Bleeding Love” - Hip Hop by Tabitha & Napoleon - featuring Chelsie Hightower & Mark Kanemura
“A Los Amigos” - Tango by Dmitry Chaplain - featuring Chelsie & Joshua Allen
Hurrah! I love any excuse to see Katee & Joshua again (too bad, none of their amaaaazing dances together were nominated). Prepare to be reminded of how vanilla this season’s contestants have been. Tune in to SYTYCD tomorrow and Thursday night - the finale is almost upon us! -

(btw those aren't my comments, they are someone elses'. I'm rooting for Kayla and Brandon) -

I'm so excited to see the dances from last season!!!!! -
Posted July 29th, 2009 by musicman0909Ha! "Prepare to be reminded how vanilla this season's contestants have been." I completely agree with that poster. The characters and personalities haven't been there this year. While the talent has been, the season itself has felt a little flatter to me than last year.
-
I don't know about you guys, but I think this year is lacking because it is so obviously manipulated. In past years (especially season one) the dance styles and pairings really were random and unexpected. I think after season 2 the producers started 'playing' with the pairings and dance styles. This season was so blatant in its favoritism I've become jaded. It's almost like it's not about the dancers anymore - but the choreography, the manipulation and who's the favorite. I still love the show, but the shine has faded...

No problem Attridge! I've been enjoying your spoilers as well! -

Agree musicman. I have a couple of favorites but not much in the way of stand outs or stand out dances like past seasons. -
Posted July 29th, 2009 by Piba_Natalie_FTW
This season was/is definitely rigged. I'm getting tired of it. And no "stand-out" characters have come out. Last year, we had Joshua and Twitch, MARK, and even Gev (though he was elim'd early). The season before, everyone loved Lacey and Danny and Neil and Sabra and Dominic. This season... people like Evan? Not a fan really, but he seems to show the most personality in clip packages. Brandon has some good moments. Janette was "cha-cha diva" personality. Melissa, Kayla, and Jeanine are all kinda blah. Idk. Some days I'm in love with it, other days I'm not... -
Posted July 29th, 2009 by broadwaystar32I'm so excited to see the "Mercy" / door dance again tomorrow! That's been one of my absolute favorites.

Posted July 29th, 2009 by musicman0909Just to expand a little -
Initially i was put off with the show this season. Everyone was a contemporary dancer (which I think has something to do with the personality of the show). The only true hip hop dancer (sort of) was eliminated the first night..and he wasn't even that great!! Philip sort of helped, but I just didn't feel like it was genuine, he tried too hard.
The choreography this season has meh with a side of alright. Very, very few standout dances (breast cancer dance (i hate calling it that), travis's choreography are the two that come to mind first). NONE of the hip hop dances have been on par with last years, except maybe the chain with Jeanine and Philip, one of the few times I thought, YES!!
Frankly, I felt something was up as soon as they eliminated Natalee. That was straight up BS and it made no sense. I hope she comes back for season 6 *sigh* Which could also be a reason why this season is lackluster...perhaps they've tried to split up the truly great ones for this season and the next to be able to have 2 great seasons?! Just a thought...
Also - Glee + SYTYCD on Fox is going to be fantastical TV.
