I agree, I hated that dress (or maybe I just didn't get it). Reminded me of that dress kenley did last year that I didn't get, which is why I believe they genuinely liked it.

And how sad they kicked the two most avant garde designers off right before they do an avant garde challenge. Pretty silly.

Only the sight of Tim in sandals managed to salvage the episode. But things sure seem to be slipping.

I actually liked the neoprene dress, but I have to say there weren't really strong designs or spectacularly awful ones either. I was surprised that Max Azria praised the brown avant garde number the meth addict did. That thing was a hairball for sure.

i was not impressed with Irina & Johnny at all.. Ramon's other dress (the non-neoprene one) I thought was good.

I liked Shirin & Carol Hannah the best. and Louise & Althea's black dress was to die for :)

I think they (production) realized Mitchell was so so so bad and they should have removed him week 1 if not 2, so they found a way to do it. And since Ra'mon got screwed doing all the work, they wanted to reward him. But I am all about the small print at the end of the show that says something about production making some decisions regarding who is eliminated. This is why we see so many "characters" make it further than they should.

The neoprene 'thing' looked like a last minute attempt to me. Their other dress was nice but it was all about fabric choice.

My fave was Christopher and Logan's avant gard look. Scary and cool at the same time.

It was a weird episode for sure.

My mom and I watched the ep last night and I was flabbergasted!!!! I thought I was having a moment of temporary dyslexia!

I also though the dyeing of the neoprene was last minute and did not "get" how that was avant garde. The design itself wasn't, the one dye spot wasn't, so was it using the neoprene itself as a material what did it? When Nina was talking about it, I figured it had to be an unusual type of material or something...LOVED Ra'Mon's "inspired by" design tho, thought the colors were gorgeous but there were quite a few other avant garde looks that were WAY better

Can wait for you guys to put this duel up, I'm thinking WE would not agree on this week's panel.

Actually, I agree with the judges in who was 'kicked off'.

Mitchell didn't do anything that was 'actually seen on the Runway', and stated straight up he felt that Ramon would carry him through the challange.

My personal feeling though was that there should have been a double elimination from the week before of BOTH Malvin, and Mitchell. (so we wouldn't have to endure him 'this week')

On the Neon dress, there are fundamental differences between his dress and Kenley's clothing. Kenley's dress was too 'different' fabrics, as compared to Ramon's dyed fabric. And it was a slightly different fit.

My guess is although Ramon won't make it to the final three, is that he will get far in the overall competition.

As for Epperson, he needed to be a team player (instead of the Team bully). And yes I agree with the judges that Qristal needed to stand up to him (which she obviously didn't do).

I also agree with Mitchel being kicked off, but honestly they should have kicked off both Mitch and Q, imo.

I agree there was nothing avant garde about ra'mon's neoprene dress that nina orgasmed over. it looked like she took it to the dry cleaner and got it back with that blue stain.
and their surferwear look was looked very first year fashion student. it also reminded me of austin scarlet's grammy dress.

my two favorite groups were althea/louise (their beachwear actually looked like it could be worn to the beach!) and logan/christophers (even though there's was more resort wear i still really liked it).

and sure nicolas' garders were wacky, but his look was way more avant garde then ramons.

Watching the epi now, Mitchell threw himself under the bus. He said he only did the swimsuit (that they couldnt see) and Ra'mon did everything else. What... a dumbass.

The neoprene was a good dress, but not really Avant-garde. at all.

Johnny and Irina's brown A-G dress looked all bunched at the top and I thought they would be killed for not steaming it, etc.

Nicolas' A-G garters were made for a prostitute.

The black dress of Louise and Althea was amazing though.
