So who and how is Jack's dad Christian any part of the island, etc. At one point I thought Jack's dad was Jacob. But obviously not.
If anything I need last night's episode explained to me and why all that shiznit happened.
I still think it's the 'real' Locke in the temple, just like how when Ben, Richard and Locke were in the jungle and Locke knew when his previous self would come limping out of the jungle shot. There's just a bunch of versions of Locke running around the island?
I have no effing clue! -
nononono!
remember the scene on the beach when the black rock is in the ocean. Jacob is on the beach and that guy was there and said he wanted to kill Jacob and someday he'd "find a loop hole"
those 2 are the ying and the yang of the island. Jacob is the good god and the other guy is the bad one (smoke monster anyone?) but because they're equal one can't kill the other. But evil guy being evil "found his loop hole" as Jacob said. He tricks everyone on the island into thinking he's locke (their leader) and since he can't kill Jacob he tricks Ben into doing it.
The real Locke isn't the one that tells Richard to tell him he has to die. That's the Evil "Jacob" who wants Locke to think that so that he will die allowing evil Jacob to take his place.
and it goes on and on... I learned a LOT last night -

WHOA! MICHAEL_ WHOA! You had me at "nononono!" That kind of explains some, but, yeah, there's still a lot of shit going on... Like why do they need to kill Jacob? and why is Jacob the good ying?
And why did the Lost letters turn black and the background was white at the end? Is it going to be like that for next season? That seriously gave me chills when I saw it for some reason... -
THEY don't need to kill jacob.
This man needs to kill Jacob. I tend to think they're both Jacob in a sense, like Peter Pan and his shadow. -
all bad things happen on the Island because of this guy. He takes the form of Christian (Jack's dad) to manipulate Locke into leaving then manipulates Richard into insuring that Locke doesn't come back alive.
UGH there is so much! Did you catch that Ilana is Jacob's former right and (like our current Richard) The 2 of them are the only ones that know what lies in the shadow of the statue "the one that will save/protect us" was the answer. She's the only one that recognizes Jacob in the flash backs. Finally she knows Richards original name "Richardus" most likely his name in the early 1900s which he's modernized to Richard. Why would she call him that? she knew Richard when she handed down her job to him (likely he was a child so he doesn't remember her and she doesn't know what he looks like all grown up / with that eyeliner on) -
right hand not right and
-
oh also Ilana knew how to find the cabin, regular people can't do that.
-
Posted May 14th, 2009 by kromagg007maybe the Locke thats running around is the avatar for the island itself. a few questions...how old is Richard....what did Jacob mean by They are coming....why do we have to wait till 2010 for new eps...what are we going to do after the series ends????
-
Posted May 14th, 2009 by Piba_Natalie_FTW
New eps start in January of each year, which next year will be 2010. And after the series ends, we will need to create a big LOST cult and find a deserted island to crash into in a mass suicide. -
who "They" are the ones that are coming... that's easily the biggest question for me. Richard is probably 100+ years old.
Also I'm down for crashing on an island somewhere. I call dibs on being Desmond though. -
Posted May 14th, 2009 by Piba_Natalie_FTW
Thats fine, I'm Faraday! (Minus the whole... being shot by my mother part...) -
I think "they" are richard and Ilana when she showd richard what was in the box and started on there way into statue. Whilst inside ben is stabbing jacob i think when he said they are coming he was trying to let avatar locke lol no richard and ilana are on to him and are on thier way into the statue to confront him maybe. I don't no i always think every week i no whats going on. By the end of the ep i'm like WTF is going on. I guess thats y i love it 8D Also i think white lite at end was island blowing up and next season we'll all see them getting off the plain not knowing really who one another are and what has happend. The creators did say they will finalize last season and wont leave us wondering but who really no's. IN A SENSE WE ARE ALL LOST LMAO 8D
Piba i think we need to work together and make a lost game. I think it could be fun. I've watched every ep and sounds like u did to. We are creative and kewl i think we could come up with something great 8D
I'm down with crashing on an island some where. I call dibs on hurley he is funny as hell 8D -
there is no way that the island blew up.
them getting off the plane in LA would be the saddest possible ending.
Jack, Kate, Juliet and Sawyer's love triangle aside:
-Jin never learns to treat Sun right.
-Charlie never falls in love with Clair.
-Clair gives up baby Aaron.
-Boon and his sister never resolve their problems.
-Locke doesn't get his adventure and goes back to cripples life.
-Hurley's dad is less likely to return
-Faraday is never born
-Penny doesn't wait 7 years for Desmond to call
-Sawyer doesn't kill the guy who killed his parents
-Sayid is less likely to reunite with Nadya
-Miles doesn't learn that his dad didn't abandon him
-Hurley doesn't fal in love with Libby
that said the white flash in my opinion is the same flash that occurred when Desmond blew up the hatch.
season 6 opener: they're all naked in the jungle and can see the future. -
97% behind Mike's theories.
There's no way the bomb actually went off and they killed those peeps. -

Wow michael_. A fan of Lost, are ya?
I agree, white flash in the end didn't solve anything. I hope that all it did was take them out of 1977. The 70s were cool and all, but... it was too confusing. If anything, I hope the flash took them to 2007 with Locke and Ben and Sun. If it took them all back to 2004- even cooler.
But I mean, I was thinking...As much as I love Lost, the finale is going to suck no matter what:
Option1: They all die.
Option2: They are rescued and they all get off the island.
Option3: They are still on the island at the end.
Option4: It's all a dream.
Option5: ?
I mean, I know Lost writers will come up with something great (they always do), I just have NO IDEA what it will be... -
i think that's the whole point though that all the stuff u said was'nt supposed to and because of jacob it did. jacob changed everything i think his punishment is that all goes back to the way it was to be.
Ha ha i don't really no jus purely a guess thats the best part the show keeps us thinking and wondering. Thats why we watch every week 8D -
oh wow I agree with Piba. I think that flash will reunite them with the 2007 group and perhaps the "they" that Jacob was talking about are the rest of 816 and perhaps he was talking to Ben. Not sure how their return will change things but Miles can talk to dead Jacob and find a way to work things out.
-
Posted May 14th, 2009 by kromagg007at least we found out where Rose, Bernard and Vincent were.
-
ha ha right o kromag tru dat 8D
-
oh my god what an amazing foil those 3 are for the rest of the characters. Between Rose telling them they were crazy for traveling 30 years into the past and still trying to kill each other and Miles's dialog about them not thinking through that they might cause the incident I was dying with laughter.

I LOVE ROSE! I FORGOT ABOUT THAT!!!!! ROSE!!!!! I said she was one of my favorite 3 losties, but I forgot to mention her and the house and... yeah. -

I haven't read anything yet so I'm going at this on first impressions alone.
I think the point behind the Jacob flashbacks was to show how formative he is to the destiny surrounding the island, and not just some old man trapped in a shack.
Which speaking of that, when Illana showed up there and said Jacob hadn't been there in a long time and someone else had been using it, I'm guessing the old guy in the rocker that talked to Locke is the same person/spector/whatever that is impersonating Locke. I like the idea of these 2 Jacobs being a yin and yang.
Piba I feel your pain I went into that episode saying as long as they didn't kill off Juliet I would be ok. Though her setting off the bomb was very reminiscent of Desmond and the failsafe key. COME BACK WITH SUPER POWERS JULIET PLEASE!
As for the future of the show, I was so confused by where they were going, but I doubt the pasties can escape their destiny. Whether it be by paradox, or fate (like when Michael couldn't kill himself) or Myles theory that THEY were the incident, that island isn't going to be destroyed -
MY HUBBY SAYS ITS ALL A DREAM THAT JACK HAD AND NEXT SEASON IS ABOUT WHAT HAPPENS WHEN HE WAKES UP LOL I SAY BULL TO THAT. BUT I THOUGHT I WOULD MENTION IT AND SEE WHAT YOU ALL HAD TO SAY TO THAT ANYONE?
-
Posted May 18th, 2009 by ScottyMcNaughtyI say that it is all in Hurley's imagination.
I say that he did win the lottery and then he went crazy and went to an institution and then concocted a whole story out of his imagination. -
Posted May 18th, 2009 by ScottyMcNaughtyOr maybe to make it even crazier, everyone that is in the story (Jack, Jin, Sayid, Locke, Kate...) are all in the looney bin with him.
-
good point scotty 8D When they were showing him in hte hospital one time they kind of brought that idea out and i forgot all about that.
Same with the chick he fell in love with forgot her name. They showed a bit were she was in the same mental hospital has Hurley which made me think exactly what u said good call i'm goin with that lol -
Posted May 18th, 2009 by ScottyMcNaughtyHer name was Libby and she only got kicked off the show along with Anna Lucia because of a couple of DUIs while filming.
But what I am thinking is that this show is so out there with the time travel, the hidden island, the button you have to push(which consequently centers around Hurley's lottery numbers)that it almost seems there is no way possible this actually happened.
To me it has to have come from soemone in a mental institution. I really don't see any other way possible. -
Posted May 18th, 2009 by ScottyMcNaughtyI mean when you watch a show every week and each week you get more confused at the twists and turns.
The amount of characters who's lives intertwine with each other is ridiculous. And the curveballs they keep sending are getting crazier and crazier.
To me, if this isn't a fantasy or someone (Hurley's imagination) then I am going to to thoroughly shocked at how the final bell unfold. -
yes u r so right. It is to crazy to be true8D it has to be about Huley and maybe all of them in the looney bin lol.
We'll all be in the looney bin from tryin to fugure this out. Just when i think i have it i watch another epi and i LOST again.
I must like bein confused cus i love this show 8D -
nonono again!
Lost producers have said that Lost is not:
1) Hurley's imagination
2) Purgatory
also I'll just through this out there. Desmond's son Charlie Hume is Driveshaft/Flight 816's very own Charlie Pace -
charlie desmond i'm confused? r u sayin charlie is desmonds son? real life or on the show? Now i really lost lol 8D
-
The island is a zero entropy bubble where timelines intersect. The central mythology of Lost is Aborigne dreamtime. Where much of the physical world is born in dreams. Jacob tries to guide the dammed into heaven. Horus is the Egyptian ruler of the physical world and Darmites. Jacob's foe is Anubis, lord of the underworld. He can assume the form of the dead to lure them to hell.
My new icon is Paris Hilton in a thong, this is the form Anubis has chosen to lure the remaining peoples into hell(go to Staten Island and turn left.) if you still are confused, it may be time to upgrade your bong. -
Posted May 19th, 2009 by ScottyMcNaughtySounds like someone has already taken a few too many hits.
And I thought I heard it all. I am speechless Mole. -
me to lol
-
I think they have a loose outline of a story like BSG, but the writers make the story up as they go. I hope next season isn't so 'Scooby-Doo-Spooky-Island-ish.'

JULIET!!!!!!!!!! I loved her soooooo much. One of my favorite 3 Losties (Kate, Rose, Juliet). Why did she have to die?? I know they needed someone to blow up the bomb, but why not... Sayid. I didn't like him and he was going to die anyway! OR Phil (I TOTALLY hated Phil, btw)! ANd why did they have to show her in the bottom of the well after she fell down. When she fell down there, we all assumed she died. But no, Lost had to drag it out and make her be responsible for killing herself. STUPID LOST!
And now Locke! Who is the 2nd Locke if Locke is in the coffin/they have his body? At first, when they showed the body was Locke, I thought guy walking into the temple Locke was Jacob in disguise. But now I have no idea. AND I HAVE TO WAIT 7 MONTHS UNTIL THE NEXT NEW EPISODE! WHAT!?!?!?!
The whole idea of a Jacob flashback was great, but it explained NOTHING about who Jacob was. Usually flashbacks are revealing, this one wasn't. I am more confused about Jacob now.
Ben was a pussy. Richard Alpert was great, as always. I'm happy Sayid was shot, never one of my fav characters. Ummm... I am probably forgetting a lot of stuff, so someone reply to this and tell me what I am forgetting/what you liked/disliked about the Ep!
